Common Problems in monitor

1. Monitor not powering on
o Check the power input to the monitor
o Check the power code
o Check the input power connector
o Check the power on/off switch
o Check the fuse and then check the SMPS output
2. Monitor powering ON, but no display
o Check whether the interface cable is connected properly or the pins are proper
o Adjust the brightness and contrast controller in the front panel and see
3. Monitor power goes off intermittently
o Check for loose connection in the power code
o Check for loose contact in the ac input power connector
o Check for any dry solder in the power connector socket in the monitor
4. Intermittent changes in color, brightness, size, or position
o Check for any electromagnetic interference
o Check for any loose contact in the interface cable
o Check for any dry solder or loose contact in the video section
5. Picture bounces or has wavy oscillations
o Isolate and eliminate any potential sources of electric or magnetic fields. Common
causes for this symptom are electric fans, fluorescent lighting, or laser printers.
o If you have another monitor close to this monitor, increase the distance between them
to reduce the interference.
o Try plugging the monitor into a different AC outlet, preferably on a different circuit.
o Try the monitor on a different computer in a different room.
